Daniel Olmos is a Spanish filmmaker with a strong passion in cinema, theatre and multiplatform storytelling. Holding a four year degree in filmmaking by ESCAC (Superior School of Cinema and Audiovisual Media in Catalunya) and a Master’s Degree in Screenwriting for Film and TV by the University of Carlos III, he has worked professionally as Director, Screenwriter, Assistant Director, End-to-end Producer,  and Editor.

His first project to be distributed outside the university was the shortfilm “Dimensions” (Dimensiones, 2015), which won the “Best Film Noir” Award in the “Wellington Florida Film Festival”. He also participated as a co-director and co-writer in “Todo Bien” (2016), a full-length movie project of ESCAC shot in Arri Alexa, and“Nomad” (Nómada, 2017), his final degree shortfilm produced by ESCAC Films, which represented the culmination of his student years.

Based in Copenhagen for two years, he directed and co-wrote “Way Better Than Him” (2017) a theatre play performed by an international cast and released for the CTC Fringe Theatre Festival in Copenhagen; worked as a Lead Content Creator for the Marketing Agency “CoCreators” and travelled to Wuhan (China) to write and direct the short documentary “Bikespotting” under the AICCC · Looking China Organization, where he received the “Best Cultural Discovery” award. Based currently in Madrid, he is distributing his last shortfilm “On the Quayside”, presented by La Movie Producciones.
